Growing Community Stewardship

Leadership Snohomish County is a community leadership development and education program whose intent is to prepare motivated individuals to lead Snohomish County today and tomorrow. Leadership Snohomish County addresses the larger question of this community’s future and prepares people to assume leadership roles that are thoughtful, informed and open to the possibilities.

How the Program is Structured

Individuals apply to enter the eight month program. The participants meet for one full day, for a total of six days, to learn about the critical issues facing our region. Participants will meet local experts and leaders who work on the challenges in our community. . While building knowledge of community issues, people in the program apply their skills to a specific project. The projects are designed to address a community need and apply skills of collaboration, effective decision making, consensus building, understanding the power of diversity and effective communications.  See projects...

Join the Next Signature Class

We are currently accepting applications for the 2012 Signature Class. The application is posted on the APPLY page of this website. Applications are due April 30, 2012. This class fills quickly and we encourage you to submit your application earlier than the due date to join our next class.

Class begins September 2012.
